Manchester United right back Antonio Valencia has been crowned the Premier League goal of the month for September award following his stunning volley against Everton.
Valencia opened the scoring in just four minutes of play against Everton giving his side an early lead. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial were also on the scoresheet, while Romelu Lukaku returned to haunt his former club but it was Valencia's strike which stole the show in the 4-0 drubbing at Old Trafford.
On winning the award, Valencia said, - I am delighted to receive this award for Carling Goal of the Month and I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me. It's a goal that I am proud of, I just hit it into the back of the net and then heard the crowd erupt at Old Trafford.
The 32 year old missed Ecuador's 3-1 loss to Argentina, which saw Lionel Messi and Co book their place at next year's World Cup.
