On-form Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for September with Manchester City boss winning Manager of the Month award.
The England international netted six goals in four top-flight matches for the London side, with two goals coming in each of the away victories at Everton, West Ham United and Huddersfield. Kane was not just prolific in the Premier League, however, with goals for England in World Cup Qualifying and Tottenham in the European Cup taking his overall tally for September to 13 in eight matches. The striker will hope to add to his tally when Mauricio Pochettino's side face Bournemouth at Wembley on Saturday.
Kane has pipped other stars including Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku, Manchester City’s duo Sergio Aguero and Kevin de Bruyne and Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata.
Manager of The Month
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been named Premier League Manager of the Month after he guided the club to four wins from four in the month, where they scored 17 goals without conceding any in the process. It is the second time he has won after previously taking home the prize in February of last season. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss beat fellow nominees Jose Mourinho, Mauricio Pochettino and Arsene Wenger, earning the award for the second time since moving to the Premier League last season.
